If you’ve been following along, you know I do a lot of meat cooking around here — tri-tip is one of my favorites. For a long time I had a great long slicing knife that I relied on, but it eventually broke on me. So I went looking for a replacement and ended up with the Cutluxe Artisan 12″ Brisket Knife.
Fair warning: the first thing this knife did was cut my finger while I was washing it. That’s how sharp it is straight out of the box.
For the review I put it up against a couple of my other go-to knives — including one I had just recently sharpened — and sliced into a cooked tri-tip. The difference was immediately obvious. Where my other knives did a decent job, the Cutluxe just glided through the meat effortlessly. Thin, clean slices with almost no pressure needed.
If you’re in the market for a carving knife that handles brisket, tri-tip, or any large cut of meat, this one is absolutely worth a look.
